March madness

Beyond college basketball in the United States, March always seems a busy month for academic activities. In addition to a few paper deadlines and abstract submissions, I am presenting at a local workshop and conference:

Wednesday, March 14 in Seminar Room C, Coombs Building, Australian National University, from 9:30 to 10:000AM

Presenting “Mapping the Margins of Intersectionality: Situating Feminist Transnational Studies in Criminology” at Critical Approaches to Gender and Justice: A Workshop with Sally Merry

Friday, March 23 in the Ann Harding Conference Centre Room 1, University of Canberra, from 11:40AM to 12:000PM

Presenting “The Significance of Sport in Counteracting Criminality: Reflection on and from ‘Offenders'” at the inaugural Sport and Crime Research Conference

The month ends on a high note with the ANU hosting the Digital Humanities Australasia 2012 Conference.
