Critically Examining Sports’ Concussion Crises Workshop

I am thrilled to be an invited speaker at an upcoming workshop on Traumatic Brain Injury in Sport. The Georgia Institute of Technology’s Sports, Society, and Technology (SST) program is sponsoring an interdisciplinary workshop featuring scholars from across North America whose research critically examines the various intersections of sports and traumatic brain injuries. The presentations interrogate sports’ “concussion crises” by drawing on socio-cultural perspectives and situating traumatic brain injuries in their broader social, political, and scientific contexts.

The workshop events on Friday, March 9th are free and open to the public, with details about the program available through the host unit’s website.
